Princeton and His Battle with sickle cell anemia
Princeton Myles is a happy, fun-loving 5-year-old with a contagious smile and a heart full of joy.
As a single child, he is the center of his parents world. From an early age, Princeton showed an
incredible love for Legos, building creative masterpieces with his small hands, and he had a
special fascination with trains.
Princeton was born with sickle cell anemia, a hereditary blood disorder that affects his red blood
cells. His parents were aware that sickle cell ran in their family, and though they hoped their
child would be unaffected, they were devastated when Princeton was diagnosed. The disease is
something that his family has battled for generations, but despite the challenges, Princeton has
always shown strength beyond his years. His parents, while concerned for their son's health, are
incredibly proud of the resilience Princeton displays every day. And his parents do everything
they can to ensure that Princeton has a life full of joy, despite his illness.
This holiday season, Princeton received a gift that made his Christmas extra special. The team at
Blocks of Hope generously delivered a Lego train set, and Princeton was beyond excited. The
sparkle in his eyes as he saw the gift was priceless. It was among the best Christmas gifts he had
received this year, and he couldn’t wait to start building it. His parents watched with immense
joy as he carefully pieced the train together.
For Princeton, this gift was more than just a toy—it was a reminder of the love and kindness that
surrounds him, and the strength he continues to show every day. His parents are deeply grateful
to Shaurya and Blocks of Hope for bringing so much happiness to their son during a season that
is about family, love, and giving.
